Lees has been making teacakes for over 70 years and very little has changed over that time. The only real difference has been the introduction of a delicious mix of apple and raspberry jam added to the mallow to give the Lees teacake a distinctive and differentiated taste. This was introduced during the 1990’s. The mix of biscuit, mallow, jam and chocolate is a delightful combination, to enjoy with afternoon tea or as a snack at any time of the day.
Building on the success of the teacake the Lees launched the “Snowcake”. It is similar to the original teacake but with a white chocolate coating and a sprinkling of coconut.
